The British Telegraph reported on the 12th (Korean time) that "a Leeds fan cut his throat while shouting a tragic slogan. Leeds fan is claiming that his father was attacked after protesting against a singing group about the death in Galatasaray."

The incident occurred on Sunday. Leeds, which finished third in the English Championship (second division), is currently in the process of playing for promotion. Leeds faced disappointing results as it tied 0-0 in the first leg of the Championship promotion playoff semi-final against Norwich City, which finished sixth. 

After the match, songs mocking the two Leeds fans who tragically died 24 years ago began to be heard off the pitch as Leeds fans were on their way home. It was a song the Leeds fans couldn't contain their anger.

A UEFA Cup semi-final match between Leeds and Galatasaray took place in Istanbul, Turkiye 24 years ago. Violent violence ensued as Leeds and Galatasaray fans clashed in Istanbul ahead of the match. Two Leeds fans were stabbed to death by Galatasaray fans at the time. The four Galatasaray fans who brandished the weapon were immediately arrested by police and sentenced to prison at trial.

When a song mocking the deceased Leeds fans rang out at Carrow Road, Leeds' home stadium, Leeds fans were bound to be furious. A fan approached the singers who were mocking them and protested, and they cut the fan's throat with a knife. Currently, the people who are believed to have been singing the song mocking Leeds fans are believed to be Norwich fans. 

The alleged victim's son posted on his social media account, "After the game, we went to Carrow Road to sing Galatasaray's cheerleading. The father, who asked them why they were singing this song, cut his throat with a knife. Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured and his life was not affected at all. He was found to have been treated by paramedics at the scene.

British police have reportedly arrested a man in his late teens after the incident. Additionally, police said the wounds to the victim's neck were believed to have been from throwing objects and that they were looking for additional people involved in the incident. In addition, ahead of the second leg of the promotion play-off semi-final between Leeds and Norwich, British police have announced that they will work harder to secure security.
